ROAD Fighting Championship is proud to announce that the first all-female league called “ROAD FC XX” will begin at Xiaomi ROAD FC 037 on March 11, 2017 at the Grand Hilton Convention Center in Seoul, South Korea. 

 

ROAD FC XX (pronounced “double x”, as in female chromosomes) is the official name for the league that will now showcase all-female fight cards on ROAD FC events. ROAD FC XX celebrates the rise in popularity in women's MMMA, as well as the increasing number of talented female fighters in South Korea and abroad.

 

Among the fighters who will participate in ROAD FC XX are “Schoolgirl Fighter” Lee Ye-Ji, “Wushu Queen” Lim Seo-Hee, “Little Wolf” Park Jeong-Eun, “Cage Vixen” Hong Yoon-Ha, national Muay Thai champion Shim Yoo-Ree, Taekwondo fighter Kim Hae-In, and “Female Kwon A-Sol” Kang Jin-Hee. Both top and blossoming talents from Asia and abroad will be invited to participate in ROAD FC XX. 

 

ROAD FC Director Kwon Young-Bok stated, “ROAD FC has consistently worked to enable female fighters opportunities. ROAD FC XX was launched to create a larger platform for them. This league will both develop and showcase the hardworking, talented and exciting women in Mixed Martial Arts.”

After setting a bench mark of one event almost every month in 2014, ROAD FC embarked on a global expansion plan and held its first ever international event in Tokyo, Japan in 2015. This year will also witness more dramatic growth as ROAD FC will host its first show in China, in the metropolis of Shanghai, on 26 December. ROAD FC is currently negotiating a venue with a capacity of 18,000. 360GAME ROAD FC 027 will be broadcast live in China and internationally across multiple platforms, which ROAD FC CEO Jung revealed included: “China's State-owned broadcaster CCTV, local terrestrial broadcasters, and the internet portal of Tencent, we are scheduled to broadcast.”  Tencent is Asia's largest internet company and competes with the largest internet companies in the world.  Tencent's internet portal QQ.com is one of the largest in China.
