ROAD FC 054 YOUNG GUNS 43 NOW OPEN

Fighting Championship announces the opening of ROAD FC 054 which will take place on June 15, 2019 in Wonju, South Korea. Stand out women's atomweights Park Jeong-Eun and Shim Yu-Ri will be the main event of the Young Guns 43 preliminary card.

Young Guns 43

A women's atomweight match between former title challenger Park Jeong-Eun (4-6-1, Team Strong Wolf) and Shim Yu-Ri (5-2, Team Genius), two very exciting fighters, will be the main event for the Young Guns 43 preliminary card. Park has been fighting at the very top of the division in ROAD FC, Japan and China, taking both ROAD FC Champion Ham Seo-Hee and DEEP stand out Tomo Maesawa to decisions last year. Shim is on a three-fight win streak with very strong displays of her sanda, Muay Thai, and Taekwondo. These young women have become fan favorites, and their inevitable meeting will cause sparks to fly in the division.

At featherweight, Muay Thai champion Oh Du-Seok (1-4, 5 Star Gym) will take on “Fearless Guys” TV show contestant Park Chan-Soo (1-0, Ssabi MMA). Oh is known for his striking acumen, and Park's own amateur championship kickboxing skills are going to match well and make this a definite stand up war.

Park Jae-Seong (2-1, Road Gym Wonju) and Kim Young-Han (1-3, Team Hon) will present a contrast of styles in the bantamweight division. Park's heavy wrestling game will be pitted against Kim's striking skills. Kim enjoys being in the clinch as he's shown in his lengthy amateur record, so Park will be forced to bring his A game.

Jang Jung-Hyuk (1-2, Kim Dae-Hwan MMA) and Choi Woo-Hyuk (4-2, Ssen Gym) are prospects looking to establish themselves in the lightweight division. They are both well-rounded and have great endurance, with Jang's grappling being his strength and Choi's in his striking.

National Muay Thai champion Kim Jin-Kuk (1-2, 5 Star Gym) will face well-rounded rookie Park Sung-Jun (0-1, Ssabi MMA) at bantamweight. Kim is still trying to find his footing after switching to MMA, so Park's MMA style will present a good test.

Middleweight Championship

At ROAD FC 054, Middleweight Champion La In-Jae will take on challenger Yang Hae-Jun in his first title defense. La will again be tested by the power of deep experience that challenger Yang has, however La wants to prove to the world that he's no longer a prospect, but a champion.
