IN KWON A-SOL'S EYES: RONYS TORRES VS TOM SANTOS

Xiaomi ROAD FC 044 will take place on November 11, 2017 at the Hebei Gymnasium in Shijiazhuang, China. Featured on the main card are the four quarterfinals matches on the ROAD FC $1 Million Lightweight Tournament. When the Tournament produces a finalist, he will face ROAD FC Lightweight Champion Kwon A-Sol. The out-spoken Korean OG Kwon has a lot to say, and we've given him a platform in which to do it. This is “In Kwon A-Sol's Eyes”.

1. Mansour Barnaoui vs Nandin-Erdene

“This match will pit the 'invincible grappler' Ronys Torres against Nam Yui-Chul's destroyer, Tom Santos. Watching both of these powerful fighters is really scary. I dream about these guys who can take out someone with one punch, and that's what I want to see them do.

“The strength of Ronys Torres is that if you are a striker, he can strike, if you are a wrestler, he can wrestle, and if you have jiu jitsu, well, he is a jiu jitsu specialist. Since the Trials, he's put everyone down. Tom Santos' strength seems to be a combination of his punches and kicks, and powerful knees. He can put on distance with a kick, and come back in with equal power. His knees from the clinch are as powerful as a drill.

“I think these two fighters will engage in a battle of distance. Ronys will try a knock down with a ruthless hook, and Tom will use kicks and punches to get inside. In basic power, Ronys is superior. I believe that Tom is better than what people think, but he's more likely to get tackled.

“However, eventually one of these guys is going to be put to sleep by me. They both need to practice a lot more. I can finish either of them in the first round.”
