'Wushu Princess' Lim So-Hee started her wushu training under her father when she was young. During her high school years, she was a national champion and won medals at multiple Wuxi Youth Asian Championships and the 5th World Youth Wuxi Championships. Even as an adult, So-Hee continued her success when she won first place in the Wuxi National Team Selections held last year.

In sanda competition So-Hee racked up an excellent record of 14 wins and 5 losses prior to transitioning to MMA. In April 2016, she made her debut against Yan Xiaonan at ROAD FC 030 in China. Although she lost, it was a precious experience to learn her shortcomings in the new combat sport.

Lim So-Hee trains with Kim Soo-Chul and Yoo Jae-Nam at Team Force. With them, she is slowly strengthening her ground skills. Next, at the first ROAD FC XX, Lim So-Hee will face Japan's Hana Date and look to capitalize on her improvement.

When Kim Soo-Chul first started training So-Hee, he realized she had strong striking like a baseball bat, but no wrestling skills. He began to complement her ability with wrestling, clinching, MMA striking, and aggressive transitions. Now she feels she has changed her style significantly and plans to start with her striking but use it to set up tackles. So-Hee says, “I don't know if the match will end quickly, but I'm sure I will win overwhelmingly.”

So-Hee has a strong mind, so when she started to learn MMA, she asked a lot of questions, studying on her own, and improved quickly because of hard work. She feels that her most noticeable difference is her physical power. In the past, she felt couldn't force her way, but now she has gained some strength and defense. “I know how to land my punches with accuracy,” So-Hee says, “I am sure I will show a better performance than my debut.”

Coach Kim Soo-Chul has advice for So-Hee, “Tuck your chin firmly and show some power.” And her coach Yoo Jae-Nam says, “First of all, I want you to enjoy MMA. Don't wait for your opponent, try anything you want first, and if you follow the strategy, you can get a KO too. You can do it!”
