XIAOMI ROAD FC 043 ANNOUNCEMENT

KIM VS MEREZHKO FOR $1 MILLION TOURNAMENT ALTERNATE

ROAD Fighting Championship announces a showdown reserve match for the historic $1 Million Lightweight Tournament between Kim Seung-Yeon and Alexander Merezhko on Xiaomi ROAD FC 043. Xiaomi ROAD FC 043 will take place on October 28, 2017 in Seoul, South Korea at the Jangchung Arena.

Kim Seung-Yeon (2-2, Free) gained popularity as the “Keyboard Warrior” on the hit reality MMA TV show “Crying Fist”. The karate champion made his pro MMA debut strong and went 2-0, and was set for a $1 Million Tournament international trials match versus Melvin Guillard before the latter could not fulfill his obligation. Continuing in more trials matches against tough opponents, Kim unfortunately ended up with back to back losses.

Alexander Merezhko (8-1, MFP) is also already a winner of another $1 Million Tournament reserve match with his rear naked choke victory over Jung Doo-Je at ROAD FC 040. Additionally, he's proved himself before with two decisions over ROAD FC Russia Trials winner Elnur Agaev. A win streak of five is going to make Merezhko another very formidable opponent for Kim Seung-Yeon.
