ROAD Fighting Championship announces the next match for Round 1 of the International Trials for the $1 Million Lightweight Tournament “Road to A-Sol”: Kim Chang-Hyun versus Andy Main. Round 1 will take place at Xiaomi ROAD FC 036 on February 11, 2017 at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea.
Kim Chang-Hyun (17-10, Team MAD) is one of the first generation of Korean Mixed Martial Artists, having competed since 2004 in NeoFight, Gimme 5, and Spirit MC. In 2011 he joined ROAD FC and has fought both Lightweight title contenders Kume Takasuke and Sasaki Shinji. Now after a year away from the cage, “Armbar” is ready to resume his climb up the lightweight division.
Andy Main (11-2-1, Pure MMA/Hybrid Fighter) is the current King of Pancrase at featherweight and a UFC TUF veteran from Season 12. He's on a three-fight win streak and has only been finished once in his professional career. Main returns to the lightweight division to take on his next massive challenge in the ROAD FC $1 Million Tournament.
Kim versus Main sees two very powerful grapplers facing off, so the slightest mistake from either could end in a devastating submission!
