IN KWON A-SOL'S EYES: Mansour Barnaoui vs Shimoishi Kota
Xiaomi ROAD FC 046 will take place on March 10, 2018 at the Jangchung Arena, Seoul, South Korea. Featured on the main card are the two semifinals matches on the ROAD FC $1 Million Lightweight Tournament. When the Tournament produces a finalist, he will face ROAD FC Lightweight Champion Kwon A-Sol. The out-spoken Korean OG Kwon has a lot to say, and we've given him a platform in which to do it. This is “In Kwon A-Sol's Eyes”.

So, it's the Japanese “Hara-toad” versus the “Afro-mamba”. First of all, this game is not going to be awfully fun, because they both are strong on the ground rather than standing. They're going to be cleaning the cage floor of the blood and sweat from the other guys who fought all day.
Strong grapplers may have good
reputations, but most of the fans will think they're watching two
elementary students fight. They'll say, “I don't know... they look
like they're sleeping. Yes, they're sleeping. But why are they so
bloody?” The commentators are going to have to do a good job of
explaining what's going on.
Obviously, it will be a battle over who can get a better position in the ground. Shimoishi has the same disadvantages as most Japanese grapplers. If his ground techniques falter, he's helpless to those who are physically stronger than he is. Mansour can take a punch, I'll give him that. His best weapon is clinch attacks, but he's got no plans available if he fails. With these disadvantages, it's easy for one of them to get caught.
I think Mansour is the better fighter. I expect Mansour has a 70% chance of getting the win. But it doesn't matter, whoever it is, I'm going to beat them anyway. When the toads and snakes come out of hibernation, the tiger eats them.
