JEROME LE BANNER OUT DUE TO INJURY

AORIGELE WILL FACE HEO JAE-HYEOK

ROAD Fighting Championship 053 will take place this coming Saturday, May 18, 2019. It will be the first ever professional Mixed Martial Arts event on the famous Jeju Island in South Korea. The Lightweight Title Fight between Champion Kwon A-Sol and $1 Million Tournament winner Mansour Barnaoui Kickboxing will be the main event.

Jérôme Le Banner injury

Kickboxing legend Jérôme Le Banner was set to make his debut in the ROAD FC cage in an MMA bout against Chinese heavyweight sensation Aorigele. Unfortunately, Le Banner sustained a back injury in the week previous and will be unable to compete. ROAD FC wishes his a swift and full recovery.

Aorigele vs Heo Jae-Hyeok

As a replacement, Heo Jae-Hyeok will step up on very late notice to face Aorigele. Heo (1-1, IB GYM) won his debut with a knockout finish of Kim Jae-Hoon, but lost by the same in his second outing against Shim Gun-Oh. In both instances, he showed fearless aggression, and even reversed out of a triangle to show off a big man's grappling strength. In taking up the gauntlet against Aorigele, Heo is proving that he intends to make the show go on, from singing his own walk out song to action for the fans inside of the cage.

The main event of ROAD FC 053 will be the long-anticipated Lightweight Championship defense by Kwon A-Sol as he takes on $1 Million Tournament winner Mansour Barnaoui.

Firefighter Fighter Shin Dong-Guk will rematch Tamotsu Hayashi, and with the heat between them, fans can expect the do-over to be fast and furious.

Park Hyun-Geun finally welcomes highly rated “Fearless Guys” competitor Yang Ji-Ho to ROAD FC, who trains under former ROAD FC Champion Lee Yun-Jun.

Two 90kg prospects Lim Dong-Hwan and Kim Tae-In will open up ROAD FC o53, and the strikers who open cards always deliver a good show – especially the heavyweights.
