ROAD Fighting Championship will once again return to China for Xiaomi ROAD FC 044 on November 11, 2017. Xiaomi ROAD FC 044 will take place at the Hebei Gymnasium in Shijiazhuang in conjunction with the city to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Shijiazhuang Daily, one of the most prestigious media institutions in China.

 

At Xiaomi ROAD FC 044, the quarterfinals round of the ROAD FC $1 Million Lightweight Tournament will take place, with eight fighters from six countries participating. The remaining matches on the card are now open. In the main event, fan favorite “Kungfu Panda” Aorigele will face returning Japanese ring legend Fujita “Ironhead” Kazuyuki in a massive Openweight bout.

 

Kuwabara Kiyoshi replaces Jake Heun on short notice

 

At Xiaomi ROAD FC 044, UFC TUF veteran Jake Heun was set to face China's next big thing Ma Anying in an openweight bout. Unfortunately, visa processing issues delayed Heun's arrival, so he will not be able to travel for this match.

 

Kuwabara Kiyoshi (10-9, Team Samurai) will make his fifth appearance inside the ROAD FC cage as the late notice replacement for Heun. Kuwabara is now 2-2 in ROAD FC, with his most notable performance being an 18 second KO of Lightweight Champion Kwon A-Sol. Kuwabara has fought from welterweight on up, and will take this match at with no limits with no reservations at all. Suddenly, another bout on Part 1 follows the “China versus Japan” theme which will echo in the Main Event of the night.
