XIAOMI ROAD FC 042 ANNOUNCEMENT: PARK JUNG-EUN VS PARK SI-WOO

ROAD Fighting Championship announces a second fight for Xiaomi ROAD FC 042 on September 23. Xiaomi ROAD FC 042 will be held during the Chungju World Martial Arts Festival in Chungju, South Korea at the Chungju World Martial Arts Festival Stadium.

A women's atomweight bout between Park Jung-Eun (2-2-1, Team Strong Wolf) and Park Si-Woo (, Team Mad) is the second match to be added to Xiaomi ROAD FC 042. Park Jung-Eun made her professional debut at ROAD FC 023 in 2015, and has already fought some of the region's most well-known fighters: Fujino Emi, Satomi Takano, and Hisae Watanabe. She is coming off of a win against her first home-grown opponent, Park Na-Young, at Korea's first all-women's MMA event, ROAD FC XX.

Park Si-Woo was the gold medalist in 2012 at the WAKO Asian Kickboxing Championship, and gold medalist at the 2013 Incheon Asian Games. She successfully transitioned to MMA through the ROAD FC amateur leagues. Coming from Team MAD, one of Korea's most notable teams, Park Si-Woo's kickboxing base is excellent, and she's developed a good ground defense.

ROAD FC Atomweight Champion Ham Seo-Hee recognized Park Jung-Eun as a breakout fierce young fighter to watch. Now, Ham's own teammate Park Si-Woo will rise to the occasion and make an excellent addition to the ROAD FC women's division.

An Openweight rematch between Kim Chang-Hee and Shim Gun-Oh Is set for Xiaomi ROAD FC 042. Both fighters originally met at ROAD FC 039, but an unfortunate accident stopped the fight too early.
