Xiaomi ROAD FC 034 opens China Trials for the $1 Million Lightweight Tournament

ROAD Fighting Championship is excited to announce the eight participants in the China Trials or the $1 Million Lightweight Tournament on Xiaomi ROAD FC 034 on 19 November at the 9,400-seat Hebei Gymnasium in Shijiazhuang (石家庄), the capital and largest city of Hebei, China.

There are eight fighters in four China Trials Lightweight Matches on the Young Guns 30 Preliminary card, plus two more fights. The four winners of the China Trials will be seeded in the $1 Million Lightweight Tournament opening round.

CHINA TRIALS

Nuertiebieke Musu (6-1, Wantongwen Wuxuexiao Club) versus Shang Lianru (1-4, Guangdong Glory Fight Club) is the first China Trials match. Nuertiebieke is a knockout artist with 4 of his last 5 fights ending by KO, including a win over grappler Bruno Pucci. Shang, at just 18 years old, has gotten a fast and furious start to his career; while he has a string of losses against tough opponents early on, he highly impressed with his performance and style at ROAD FC 030.

The second match of the China Trials is Yu Changzhao (6-2, Xindu Martial Arts Club) versus Huang Zhenyue (4-1, Guangdong Glory Fight Club). Yu is a sanda-trained fighter from Xi'an Sports University who has transitioned well into MMA, with good wins over Liu Lianje, Tayier, and Ryo Asami. Huang is just 19 but already has a good ground game and distinctive sanda kicks to make him another prospect to watch from Guangdong Glory.

Tuerxunbieke Habiti (8-5-0-1, B-King Team) versus Tao Shuoyu (6-4, Fighting Brothers) is the third match in the China Trials. Habiti at just 23 has already proved himself a force in Chinese MMA as a former WBK champion, and finishes in four of his last five fights. Tao is under the tutelage of Shuaijiao master Yao Honggang, but the four KOs on his record show that he's definitely a threat on his feet.

Rodrigo Caporal (13-5, Espada MMA) versus Amartuvshin Khuukhenkhuu (3-3, Shiren Beelii) is the final match in the China Trials for the $1 Million Lightweight Tournament. Caporal is a BJJ black belt; he is a No Gi World champion, Brazilian National Champion, and European Champion. Caporal coaches and fights out of Hong Kong, and during his fight career in China, became the Champion of RUFF with wins over Zhang Lipeng and Wu Haotian. Khuukhenkhuu trained and competed in Sambo since the age of 15, and added Judo to his resume before he transitioned to MMA in China's Legend FC and RUFF. He is an aggressive fighter who looks for every opportunity to finish; Khuukhenkhuu knocked out Wu Haotian and Alexy Makhno, and went a grueling three rounds with Kuat Khamitov.

YOUNG GUNS 30

Alateng Burigede (0-6, Team Alt) versus Hong Jung-Gi (3-2, Wolf Gym) is the first of two matches on the Young Guns 30 preliminary card. Burigede joins his brother Alateng Heili on Xiaomi ROAD FC 034 in what has become quite a family affair for the strong wrestlers. Hong is known for his heavy right hand counter, however he likes to go to the ground as well.

The final match of the undercard is Ma Haobin (4-1, Jincan Defense Club) versus Kim Hyo-Ryeong (3-5-1), Team Hon). Ma is a sanda fighter and displays it strongly in his movement. He won the One Championship Featherweight Finals at the start of his young career. Kim was in ROAD FC 001, and his highest profile fight since then has been a decision loss to DEEP's Sage Akao. He is well-rounded with good strikes and grappling, but his real strength is his BJJ.
